- The use of multiple pinholes not only increases count-rates, but provides a more uniform coverage of the subject. Detection sensitivities are improved at least 10-fold without introducing artifacts or partial volume effect errors…so that true quantitation capabilities can be realized.
- With HiSPECT, it’s even possible to use the same clinical camera to image both humans and small or large animals…representing true translational imaging: one molecular imager, different subjects, and the same molecular tracers.
