Bioscan is one of the industry’s leading developers of advanced instrumentation for the synthesis and detection of radiolabeled compounds used in life science research, pharmaceutical development, and nuclear medicine. Its team of scientists and engineers designs, produces, and services equipment which produces radiopharmaceuticals, performs quality control procedures, and measures the results of key in vivo and in vitro experiments using a wide range of radioisotopes.

Key Markets

Positron Emission tomography (PET) is one of the fastest-growing areas of research and clinical practice. Bioscan provides key equipment for the commercial production of FDG, the main radiopharmaceutical used in the clinical practice of PET.

Bioscan also provides key radiochromatography detection equipment used in the production of radiopharmaceuticals and in the development of key radiolabeled compounds for life science and pharmaceutical research.

The current work in nuclear medicine and PET is stimulating new life science research using in vivo molecular imaging. The use of radiolabeled compounds allows the study of biochemical processes in living animals, where the complex nature of diseases and cures can be studied in detail. Bioscan’s current market position provides a strong foundation for its entrance into this rapidly emerging area.

Customers

More than 800 universities, government agencies and pharmaceutical companies use Bioscan’s products in biomedical research and the commercial clinical production of radiopharmaceuticals.
